Therabody Brand Research
Exploring product iteration and brand research

Purpose
The purpose of this project was to explore a brand and to create an iteration of a product based off of reviews,
We also created a new product line based off of analogous products in the market that fit what the brand could possibly expand into. Creating packaging, end cap displays, and price points.
What is Therabody
Therabody is a wellness company best known for creating the Theragun in 2016. They have since made a variety of other health and wellness products such as face masks, compression boots, and foam rollers, prioritizing overall health/recovery and stress relief.
Target User:
Therabody’s target user is a health conscious individual who values recovery and overall well being. They range from athletes to busy professionals and seek simple, effective tools to manage their body and stay consistent without added complexity.

Product Iteraton:
The Theragun Mini Plus is a travel-sized massage gun based on the Theragun Mini, built with heating therapy, and finely tuned percussive massage settings, including a 3x faster setting, a portable lightweight design, and a ergonomic grip for hard to reach places.
Why Theragun Mini Plus?
A strong rationale for redesigning the Therabody Mini Plus comes from the gap between its portability and usability, as it is one of the models with more noticeable grip issues.
While designed as a travel size device, there is clear potential to improve its ergonomics to better support hard to reach areas. This is especially important for elderly users or those with mobility and grip difficulties, making a redesign an opportunity to enhance comfort, control, and accessibility while maintaining its compact form.

Old Design
Pros:
-
Proper handles allow for easier grip
-
Asymmetrical shape helps with allowing more angles of hand placement (flat side helps with stability)

New Design
Cons:
-
The new design is bigger which will increase costs for shipping and packaging. Size is still smaller and more compact than a Theragun Prime.
Packaging and End Cap:
Therabody's packaging for their massage guns include too large of text and to small of an image. This makes it difficult for customers to recognize what the actual product is being advertised. We changed the packaging to enlarge the product image while still retaining large text.

End Cap:
Doing some research, Therabody utilizes end cap displays at retail stores. Using Gemini image generation, we created a end cap display concept that aligns with Therabody's design principles and website design.
