A new way to make new memories
Problem Statement
How might we encourage and allow Youth in cities/towns to easily find local events and find people to go to events with?
A Circular Format
Mobile phone usage is tough. Some apps are not optimized for one-handed usage or phone usage at all.
While looking at a diagram of the reach of fingers on a screen, I found out that the easy areas follow similarly to the shape of a circle.
With the theme of community, I decided to make circles as the design language of Eventra. Symbolizing groups and friend circles while also helping one-handed usage.
I then created a draft of an app prototype in figma to research more on button placement and more in depth design choices of the app.
The goal and user flow of the prototype was to:
Browse events, add tickets, and confirm purchase
Finalizing the design, I added animations and transitions to make the app prototype more realistic and dynamic. I also chose a purple color pallet to ensure a unisex design that appeals to anyone.
